Tourism is a key aspect of the Highland economy, and it's important that we're sensitive with the introduction of such a scheme, but there has been a 65% increase in tourist numbers since 2012 and local infrastructure has not kept up with these demands.

I'm really delighted to have Brian Wilson 's support for my candidacy. Brian has fought for labour values in the Highlands for decades; from establishing the West Highland Free Press to bringing about change in government. 🌹

He has been an enormous support for me over many years.

The answer to "Why isn't Labour taxing the rich?" is "Labour *is* taxing the rich." Did you miss the months of front page outrage over inheritance tax reforms which are about to close one of the most lucrative loopholes for the mega-wealthy, and the removal of VAT exemptions for private school fees?

We're a long drive up the undualled A9 for central belt government ministers.

As the SNP take voters in Inverness for granted, we have a chance next year to send a clear message - The Highlands demand better.

Fergus's sentiment on the lack of A96 progress is justified, although 'red lines' from the MSP won't shock this tired and ineffective SNP government into action.
Only a change of government in Edinburgh will bring progress.

Lack of timeline on next stages for A96 dualling is ‘red line’ for Fergus Ewing
The refusal to provide a timeline on the next stages of the A96 dualling scheme in the next three months is ‘unacceptable’ for a veteran politician.

Looking through an archive of Labour Party campaign material, I found my favourite ever leaflet. I produced it in 1996 for distribution to the crowds at the premiere of the movie Loch Ness in Inverness.

The loss of the main Post Office would be a huge blow to town and the island.
