Thanksgiving 2024 is in the books. The new kitchen was a pleasure in which to experiment, plan, assemble… I tried a couple of new recipes alongside my great-grandmother’s pumpkin pie recipe. My son agreed the food tasted like his memories. I am grateful for these moments to make memories together.

Thanksgiving 2024 is in the books. The new kitchen was a pleasure in which to experiment, plan, assemble… I tried a couple of new recipes alongside my great-grandmother’s pumpkin pie recipe. My son agreed the food tasted like his memories. I am grateful for these moments to make memories together.
Meet Chrissy and her daughter Macy. They took possession of Reggie’s soft pillow in his crate. Chrissy was a pregnant mama found at a Walmart garden center near Fresno, and she gave birth to Macy in a drawer here at our house. Family stories include our animals’ origin stories around here.

Reggie is bored.
He is recovering well from his femur surgery. He’s feeling good, but is still restricted from racing around or wrestling with Auggie. He just wants to play.
I can hear the boredom in his whine. Poor baby!
