We tested whether you can ID marlin species just by scanning their fin spines with a handheld XRF scanner — and turns out, you (mostly) can. 🐟🔬💥🧪

In talking to the media about the report at #UNOC FAO stated that ~57% of sharks stocks are sustainably fished (t.co/fVFnZkY4vQ).
