Like many of you I am disturbed and disappointed by the ruling of the court. I wanted to craft a message to express what my thoughts are. This ruling is not the end all be all. WE are stronger together and we will resist. #Multco #D2 #Immigration

Today, The County Commission will discuss some of my proposals. The last few months have been disheartening. Every day, we learn about another program that has been gutted, cut, or a funding stream no longer exists. My office has not been standing by. We've been determined to find solutions. #MultCo

Yesterday, I got to provide testimony about Federal overreach & codifying the City’s Sanctuary Status into code. It made me think about the conversation we’ll have at the County this morning regarding how to prepare our County’s safety net due to federal disinvestment. Tune in at 9:30AM #Multco #D2

I wanted to pen my own response to ICE and the federal government's continued aggression towards Portland. My people do not have the privilege to keep our heads down to not be attacked. We are already under attack. #MultnomahCounty #D2 #resist #NoICE

Yesterday, ICE reportedly took two community members in North Portland. One who was on their way to work and another who was with their 13-year-old child outside of a school. The kidnapping of our neighbors is unacceptable and abhorrent. My heart goes out to their family members.
