Our #language is #fluid. Words come in and out of favor and usage, they change meaning, sometimes whole universes. Trump calls women #stupid and a governor #retarded. Should we let go of those words? Or reclaim them?

I am not made to see my #race at every step. Being white, race is invisible to me in a very real way. It’s what is behind the idea of I don’t see race. We have the luxury or #privilege of not noticing our race because we are seen as the "normal" version of humans.

Time does not exist in #trauma. Some moments we live in forever. Ultimately we need to feel what we feel. Hopefully, with the passage of time we are able to reframe it, to #rebuild_our_narrative of it. It may take years of therapy and journaling and other #self-care or healing work.
