Friends, in the wake of this weekend's violence, there are a lot of people who want to put time and energy towards making things better. Some have ideas, some have resources, but what we didn't have (until now) is a central way to coordinate.
I want to be part of making things better

#mnleg Friends, while we don't have all of the details, rushing to judgement can drown out the truth and spread misinformation. Let's wait for confirmation and facts and let the professionals do their jobs.

Look at these percentages!!! Love the amount of bipartisanship that was happening at the #mnleg this year.

With special session adjourned, I'd like to officially welcome all legislators, staff, lobbyists, reporters and citizen #mnleg-addicts to PLSD (post-legislative session disorder) week!

Does anybody else find it funny that one of the instrumental #mnleg "committee is in recess" musics is Beauty and the Beast?

The Minnesota Senate is on a roll today. Three bills up, three bills passed with all-green boards. #mnleg

Apologies to the original owner of this sticker, but I haven't been able to get this thought out of my head for DAYS, so I edited it.

Over the last few days I've watched a couple of tense #mnleg House committee meetings. I think a) some can be improved, and b) call to mind the saying, "what goes around comes around."

Here's another thing I'm loving from this #mnleg session: bipartisan co-authors on bills side-by-side at the testifier table.

If you can't tell, being on tv with @marylahammer.bsky.social is more fun than stressful. (For me on this topic, anyway!) Thanks for the opportunity @twincitiespbs.bsky.social! #mnleg tpt.org/almanac-at-the… via @TPT

You're going to see a lot of #mnleg Hot Takes in the coming days. I'd highly recommend you circle back to this op-ed from a bipartisan group of former House members. What's the secret to making the power sharing agreement work? It's Minnesotans getting behind it.

Power sharing is crucial in a divided House
As Minnesota citizens, if we want our legislators to prioritize collaboration, we need to speak up.

I thought the #mnleg House was going to have an opportunity to show the whole country how it's done. Instead, it's the Senate leading the way.

The agreement works because Senator Mark Johnson and Senator Erin Murphy support it, but so do all of the rank and file members.

Always good to hear Brian Bakst and @mprnews.org #PoliticsFriday on a Monday. Good luck to all of the #mnleg leaders starting session tomorrow.

By "leaders" I include those people with titles, AND those without. Influence without authority is going to be a most valuable skill this year.

Senate power sharing agreement: Each caucus leader will appoint a co-presiding officer. Each committee has joint chairs. Equal representation of DFL & GOP members on committees. Agreement is in place until there are 34 votes to end the agreement. #mnleg @tpt @tptAlmanac
