My spouse is making purple sweet potato pies and couldn’t find the pie spice because he threw it out when reorganizing his spice collection earlier this year and is now excited by the knowledge that he can just MAKE HIS OWN pie spice blend. Also these potatoes look sus.

I’ve read a lot of books this month. And I am well ahead of my 2025 challenge to read 100 books (I always choose 100). It’s been a lot of fun this year, just reading whatever.

Watching people on Bluesky argue points on exactly the same side of the point but because their reading and social comprehension is lacking think they’re actually disagreeing is basically my entire feed. Tedious.

I was lucky enough to grab a flu shot, a Covid vaccine, and a pneumonia vax yesterday at a CVS location in CO. They had lots of appt times and you just have to answer yes to having a condition that will be endangered by Covid. Make an appt asap if you’re in the Denver area! ✌️

Someone asked me the other day what I’ve been up to lately and honestly it’s just work and taking my dog for walks and to play with his friends. Like that’s it. That’s all I do.

I am a Canadian living in the US. Every social media account I have is filled with Canadian family members, friends, and random follows of Canadians I find interesting. Every last one of those social media spaces have suppressed any news of the election results. I had to seek it out. WILD.

I just spent 45 minutes on tik tok watching some British blokes who operate a birds of prey nonprofit trying to recapture one of their more sassy owls who thought she could fly away and honestly it’s the best time I’ve spent all week.
