Reading Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead this morning and this quote stood out: “Clear is kind, Unclear is unkind.”

As much as I am glad there is windowing on iPadOS now, I find the implementation confusing. #Apple

Knowledge workers could benefit a lot from learning keyboard shortcuts and practicing speed typing. It seems trivial but so useful.

I wish Apple brought back the live in person events. These infomercials are getting boring.

A nice use of AI chatbots - Extracting ingredients from a recipe webpage. Just share the URL and ask the AI to list the ingredients mentioned in the recipe. Makes it easy to get a shopping list.

I have believed this for a while and it only gets truer by the day - LLMs are great at writing and coding end of the day. Especially coding.
Entry-level tech jobs are beginning to fade away, in part because of a new technology. @damonberes.com spoke with @rosehorowitch.bsky.social about how AI is affecting college students and the job market—and what the future may hold.
The College-Major Gamble
What should young people study when AI threatens to take their jobs?

This makes me believe that there is good in this world. I am rooting for this plant!
I got the sorriest looking jalapeño plant today for .75 and I’m going to try nursing it back to health.

Fresh hot take: Dating apps are not for people of color. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The number of times I have been second-guessed and questioned rudely on dating apps is insane.

I put together a simple (very simple!) website that has a mix of notes that bring comfort to my mind. This website is primarily for my own benefit - it is a digital worry stone if you will.

Check it out here, and if it resonates, share it with others too.

I have been both a night owl and an early bird for a long time. Not sure if I can recommend it.

This is a mindfulness app. And this popup appeared when I opened the app. Not only is it distracting, it is also aesthetically unappealing. This is the state of UI design in 2025. There has never been a bigger need for good UI designers and product managers in tech.

The iPad Pro wouldn’t get as much flak from tech media if Apple did not give it a keyboard and a trackpad. It is a big promise with only half the execution on the hardware side. The software barely pretends like the keyboard and trackpad exists.

SNL and late night shows using Trump news for content was funny the first time in 2016. Not anymore. It is kind of pointless and tone deaf to just make memes and stupid content, especially related to Trump. Every media outlet has given him free publicity and amplified his views over the years.

Unsustainable growth has made tech worse. This article is both funny and sad at the same time but I am just laughing at the tech oligarchs who foolishly backed Trump. Ha! www.404media.co/big-tech-bac...
Big Tech Backed Trump for Acceleration. They Got a Decel President Instead
Effective accelerationists didn’t just accidentally shoot themselves in the foot. They methodically blew off each of their toes with a .50 caliber sniper rifle.

Just finished Adolescence on Netflix. It is an incredibly well made series that broke my heart and almost brought me to tears. It caught me by surprise, as the show is not so much about the crime itself but the psychological distress faced by everyone involved. Incredible.

I rediscovered Abduzeedo.com after a long time today. This was one of the few websites back in 2011 that inspired me to get into design through its inspiration pieces and tutorials. Love that it is still around, with new content posted regularly!

Logo redesigns are usually boring but I like what Eventbrite did with their brand and logo. Keeping with the times while still being simple.

Keeping my reservations about AI in general aside, I must say the Gemini app on iOS has gotten much better the last 2 months.

The current #AI wave (for 2 years now!) is simply an engineering contest happening in public. These are not products that people can use reliably. I am surprised (and also not) that none of these chatbots have a 'beta' tag on them.
