If? A term found in every good rehearsal space and stage around the world.

Sonnet 18:

If, written for a lover?

What, if?

It is written from a grieving father to his deceased son?

Read sonnet 18 first between two lovers and once again, from a grieving father.

Fare thee well!

Good morrow! Shakespeare is renowned worldwide for his plays and poetry. However, did you know he also composed thirteen songs that are still known today and appear in his plays, in addition to “Kemps Jig,” named after the actor Will Kemp? At the time, music was often reused with new lyrics added. ⤵️

Good morrow! We all know how Shakespeare continues to be shared across playhouses around the globe today. Whenever we see a playbill it makes us realise just how permanent the work really is. This playbill from Dury Lane theatre is one example of time.
