Today is World Radio Day.
But in Afghanistan, radio is under siege. Since the Taliban takeover, many stations have been shut down, and journalists, especially women, have been silenced or forced into exile. Those who remain face censorship, threats, and imprisonment simply for reporting the truth.

She was banned by the Taliban from school and singing and forced to leave her country. Now, she sings on the global stage after winning the International Children’s Peace Prize. Her name is Nila Ebrahimi and she is the Afghanistan the Taliban fears.
