In 19th C Warwickshire it was believed to be unlucky to keep egg shells in the house. However they could not be disposed to by burning as an old belief said that if egg shells were burned, the hens would refuse to lay.

Dear BBC. Please stop saying that President Maduro has been “captured” - he wasn’t on the run. Tell the truth, as per your charter - he was abducted. Stop using the language of propaganda. #BBCNews

It seems that wherever there's a political or moral fence to be found, Starmer will be sure to sit on it. Of course the USA's attack on Venezuela and the abduction of Maduro broke international law - why can't he just say so? (Rhetorical question - I know why).

Weird one today. Yellow was almost too obvious and blue and purple were pure guesswork for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know you all already know this, but I think it’s worth mentioning again that Trump needs to be incarcerated for the good of the entire world.

Israel’s ban on 37 humanitarian organisations, including Doctors Without Borders, from entering Gaza is another war crime.

The Green Party condemns this decision and calls for immediate international action to protect humanitarian actors.

Introduce yourself with what almost killed you.

Years ago, I did a tethered parachute jump. I exited the plane clumsily, and the cords got twisted, so the canopy wouldn't open. I had to scissor-kick to untwist the cords to allow the 'chute to open. I quite enjoyed the experience after that!
Introduce yourself with what almost killed you.

I had one of my many heart procedures and was given too high a dose intravenously. I felt like the ceiling caved and my voice wouldn’t come out. My HR / BP was high 200s. I vaguely remember the bed curtains closing, alarms, and staff running over.
Hi, I’m 80mph skid into the safety barrier in a thunderstorm.

Even more cynical (probably) 72 year old here, and I agree wholeheartedly!
Cynical 44 year old here. This fella has given me a little bit of hope in 2025. I truly believe we can move towards a politics that values empathy over greed, people over profits and make British politics less hateful.

Cheers Zack, keep up the good work
We're challenging a broken, failed economic model, and the people defending it have no answer other than just to continue with what is broken.
