I once had a journal article rejected by editors who wanted to publish it, but declined out of fear that a church administrator would read it and be offended.

A reminder that ppl are often less concerned with truth, and more concerned with offending those in power with a pocketbook.

Been on here less than an hour and got blocked. I gently noted that the presentation deconstructed weird religious zealotry 🤷🏼‍♂️ However, I understand the reaction.

As an aside, Christian moral panics (along with other moral panics and infodemics) are a public health issue.
