As part of my ttrpg "book club" we're playing an abbreviated campaign of Beam Saber. I improvised a mechanic to simulate the attrition of a longer campaign based on Girl Frame's Apocalypse Keys -style moves.
Players declare an amount of Sacrifice Points and roll 2d6 plus points spent. An 8-10 results in a reward and a cost, while an 11+ results in two rewards, two costs, and a penalty. A 7- allows the GM to select from the 8-10 result lists. Sacrifice Points are a measure of how fucked the War is getting and how much the squad prioritizes their own needs above larger goals. A table with a list of sacrifice points spent by each player and their corresponding selected results. A whopping 35 sacrifice was spent in total and all pilots are now scarred. a mid-session meme: "How to weather your beam saber pilots"

My encounter table format which is a 2d6/d66 table where the 2d6 sum tells you a category and the d66 result is then a specific iteration of that category.

I forgot to post these earlier but I also finalized the art for Crystal Clash in my campaign. We've got a proper looking arena and card borders with variants for common / uncommon / rare.
