Still can't properly run Kontakt/Native Access on my Linux install, so I said "fuck this shit".
I threw MT Power Drum Kit, Drum Pro, and Cymbalistic in a blender, did some tactical drum compression and EQ-ing, made an empty track to simulate room microphones, and came up with "my own" drum sound.

Of all things terrible about Windows, its worse sin was layering its own bullshit over NTFS, which led less tech-savvy creators to ignore case sensitivity in filenames.
A small handful of mods for a game I like are broken on Linux due to poor naming etiquette. Now I gotta fix them manually.

The (partial) lie about bots running on "water-guzzling data centers" has become a popular talking point on social media, when in reality a lot of this stuff runs on a mediocre circuit plank with a half-decent NVIDIA anybody can own.

The company that made the virtual acoustic drumkit I use handles accounts through a different service now.
I wanted to see if they had a standalone VST to avoid the headache of running NI's Kontakt under Wine, but the account service fails at sending me the email to finalize the switch.

I think there is a recurring issue where a lot of "experienced" Linux users are not learning the fundamentals, and then keep suggesting terrible solutions to newbies.

After spending a few years messing around with different distros inside VMs and other forms of virtualization, I got myself a 1TB SSD and blessed it with a Linux Mint installation.
That was last Monday. It's been a week.
Still gotta set up a few more things, but boy oh boy, am I happy. :)
