So I caved. At least on one idea. About 3 years ago, I was DoorDashing and donating plasma while working both a full-time and part-time job simultaneously. This was long before I really got into writing Bound in Time. Long before I rediscovered how much I loved sketching and drawing like I did in high school. Long before I decided to start blogging as often as I have these past 5 months — not realizing until recently that only 3 years ago, I could actually draw pretty decently.

Same rule as before: your voice stays yours. I’m just clarifying logic, tightening grammar, and aligning wording to your intent — not inflating it into something academic or performative.

But I suppose even with no money to build one, I can let some fantasy take over — besides wanting a big yard for my kids, and having a way to let my cat outside safely and be able to adopt some cats because my home is big enough.

Do you need a break? From what? From what you might ask? Life. The always have to fight to not drown in debt. I had been working on years to try and buy a house. And life just makes my own body a battle field. Or better yet my mind is a battle field. I've never been on a vacation, can't risk it.

Job hunting feels like an art form now — not the art of mastering your skill, but the art of selling yourself. Like a salesperson selling a vacuum or a house, you’re taught how to present, how to frame, how to perform. Sometimes it feels less about what you can do… and more about how well you wear the mask companies want to see.

Job hunting sucks. Let’s just be honest about it. I lost my main source of income in October 2025. I still have a part-time job, so I’m not jobless — but I’m operating at a net loss just trying to survive. At this point, I’ve come to a few conclusions: I’m overqualified in many areas, and downplaying that experience is harder than it sounds.
