My team joined the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in Clairton at their monthly food distribution yesterday. Helping our neighbors find resources is a key part of our constituent services, so please call us if you need assistance.

Everyone deserves to be safe in their community, and I will always fight to support law enforcement and efforts to keep our communities safe. The new state budget includes $61 million for grants to reduce violent crime and gun violence. I'm thrilled to support this investment in public safety.

Yesterday, my staff at Plum Borough Community Library joined 4th graders from O’Block Elementary as they showcased their own stories inspired by “The World According to Humphrey.” Shout out to the library staff and teachers who arranged the event and helped students celebrate their projects.

We need more quality, well-trained teachers in Pennsylvania. That's why we fought for $30 million for the PA Student Teacher Support program, a $10 million increase. These stipends go directly to pay student teachers, who otherwise go unpaid during their mandatory work experience.

I am opposed to the rate increase proposed by Pennsylvania American Water as higher monthly bills would place additional strain on families already grappling with rising costs. As someone subject to the proposed increase, I will be contacting the PUC and urge you to do the same.

I had a great time visiting Brave Bean Coffee Company in Pitcairn. Each cup of coffee gives back by supporting veterans through programs like Buy a Coffee for a Veteran, donations to Wounded Warrior Project, and the installation of Hometown Hero Banners honoring local service members in Pitcairn.

Over the past three years, I've stood on the picket line with striking @pghguild.com @cwaunion.bsky.social workers from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Today a judge ruled in those workers' favor saying that their fundamental rights to collectively bargain were violated by the PG's publishers.

Recently, I had the opportunity to learn more about West Mifflin Police’s drone program with @repinglis.com. Drones are used for a variety of law enforcement actions, including search and rescue. We were happy to secure a $36,000 state grant to purchase drone equipment to use for these efforts.
