We cannot forget that the landmarked Art Deco decor in Bonwit Teller department store on 5th Avenue and 57th street where T.Tower now stands had a contract to have their Art Deco artifacts installed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He threw it all out in the trash!
I can't really explain fully why this is the thing of all things that got my jaw on the floor but I guess it's such a literal symbol and also such a jaw dropping amount of money while small businesses are struggling to survive the tariffs
