Finally saw Frankenstein this morning! I liked it, but I honestly don’t have much to say. It was gorgeous, appropriately stylish in both visuals and dialogue, but it didn’t quite dazzle me the way I was hoping it would.

Okay! Attempt #2 at watching Frankenstein tomorrow morning. If the audio breaks again it’s gonna be a lot less funny the second time.
Went to see Frankenstein. Audio on the projector broke and they can’t rewind it. For some inexplicable reason, Head Down by Bastille started playing over the speakers instead of the film. The beat dropped at the same time as the title. I’ve never laughed so hard in a theater.

the very concept of a tv tropes subscription plan.
TV Tropes is blocking access to the site not only if you have ad blockers on but location tracking off unless you want to subscribe to their $5 a month/$25 a year subscription plan. Even people who have turned their ad blockers off are reporting the site isn’t working. This all seems like a bad idea

Finished Girls Band Cry. Short spoiler-free review—I had fun! A cute story about a bunch of misfit underdog musicians trying to be heard. If I had one critique, it's that the series felt cramped; it could've really benefited from another 5 episodes, especially near the end. Spoilers in the replies.
was having a pretty crummy night and decided to check out Girls Band Cry on a whim. two episodes in and having a blast so far, feeling a lot better actually! thank you @vestenet.bsky.social for posting about it in '24 so much that i added it to my watchlist
