I was grateful to spend a morning at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center for their MLK Jr. Community Breakfast. We shared conversation, reflection, and community in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Thank you to GIAC for creating such a welcoming and meaningful space.

I visited Village Grove in Trumansburg for a site visit and to congratulate Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. It was a pleasure to tour this community, meet the dedicated team behind the work.

Congratulations to the nurses at Cayuga Medical Center on their vote to unionize! Our local nurses provide the highest quality of care for their patients and they deserve safe staffing levels and fair working conditions.

I was grateful for the opportunity to join the Maine-Endwell Central School District to guest judge for their neighborhood project. These young entrepreneurs worked diligently to present project ideas for empty storefronts in the Endwell area.

I partnered with Assemblymember Anna Kelles to host Community Office Hours at the Cortland Free Library. Our teams connected with community members to offer support on everything from housing and healthcare to SNAP benefits and utility assistance. Thank you to everyone who came.

I joined my colleagues at the Capitol to stand up for New Yorkers who are being stretched thin by rising utility costs. Across our state, working families, seniors on fixed incomes, and people with disabilities are already struggling to keep up with the cost of living.
