My daughter woke me up at 2am to ask me if I had any advice for sleeping. I did not reply, “never have kids,” so I expect my Father of the Year award any day now.

I've had to work in the house today instead of my office and one of our cats keeps walking into the room I'm in and meowing at me to make sure I know I'm not supposed to be here.

Thanks, freeloader!

I play d&d but one of my favorite things to do is walk up to people in the d&d section at Barnes and Noble and say, “Awh, hell yeah, y’all into pretending?”

Hopping on a video call remains the undefeated champion of solving talking-past-people, divining tone, and understanding exactly how passionate someone is about something.

Plain text is great for many things, but a face and voice still win. We're still humans behind these screens.

My parent’s dog barks every time the doorbell rings. My dad has a plan to ring the doorbell incessantly until the dog is desensitized. Pavlov would be amused.

YESSSSSS. This series is so good, folks.

The end of the first series (the fifth of a planned 10 books) comes out in December so now is a very good time to hop on board.
Ok. Finally doing it! What am I in for? CC @semanticart.com

I’m excited for this!

My 6-year-old and 10-year-old send me messages from their iPads. I love it.

Samuel (6) knows I like music so he sends me songs. They started off about what you'd expect but he's really dialed me in and is _nailing it_ now.
