While I normally have preferred time periods for historical fiction I wanted to push myself this year to go out of my comfort zone and I am really glad I did. Strange Eden is a wonderful historical novel that is full of heart and heartbreak. I adored the writing style that really got me hooked

I have to confess I had not read the first book in this series but do intend to go back and do this. That said I didn’t really struggle to follow along at all. I was actually fully engaged in the story straight away and couldn’t put it down.
Book Tour Review The Missing Corpse by Yasin Kakande
I have to confess I had not read the first book in this series but do intend to go back and do this. That said I didn’t really struggle to follow along at all. I was actually fully engaged in the story straight away and couldn’t put it down. I found the writing fantastic and Shawn was such a well rounded and well constructed character. The pace was fantastic too. I will definitely be reading the first in the series and any future ones.  As always thank you to Zooloo’s Book Tours and author for the copy to review, My reviews are always honest, truthful and given freely.

Book Tour Review The Nameless Land by M Laszlo
I adored Anastasia’s Midnight Song when I got a chance to read it. The mixture of themes gave it a slight gothic feeling with a touch of magical realism (although our narrators may not be the most reliable). I was so excited to be given a chance to read the sequel. Once again I adored everything about this. Something about how Laszlo writes just captivates me and makes me unable to put down the book. I loved everything about this from the surrealism to the characters that while broken might have a chance at redemption. It may not be everyone’s first choice but you really need to give Laszlo a read, their work is so mesmerizing and unique. As always thank you to Literally PR for the copy to review. My review is always honest, truthful and freely given.

Book Tour Review When Strange Things Bite: A Collection of Short Stories by L. Stephenson
I have read a few of Stephenson’s works and I have to say they never disappoint. There is something about their storytelling that strikes the perfect balance between dark and imaginative. For me it’s the fact that each of these stories could easily be imagined in real life.  One thing I sometimes find is that with a collection of short stories, even from authors you may like, you can sometimes find some hits and misses. Not so with When Strange Things Bite. Each story is fantastic and gets you fully immersed from the start. It’s hard to even pick a favourite since I loved them all. A definite must read. As always thank you to Zooloo’s Book Tours and author for the copy to review, My reviews are always honest, truthful and given freely.

Book Tour Review Sassy Godmother’s Pearls of Wisdom: 50 inspiring ways to navigate your life by Susie Hall
This is such a fun, interesting and helpful book. I can’t remember the last time that I enjoyed a book so much. Written in an engaging and simple to follow way you are sure to find helpful. No matter what your view on self-help books you need to give this one a try. I adore the honest style of writing and how no judgement is leveled at the reader. Rather you get the sense that you are in conversation with Hall and being reassured that what you may be facing or feeling is not in isolation but others have had similar situations. I cannot recommend this enough. Definitely one of my favourite self help books I’ve read so far.  As always thank you to Literally PR for the copy to review.
