Alice Wong and her work sustains the disability community. While we never met, she asked me to write about my research on Japanese American disability history to write for her blog. Between Long COVID, and a PhD, I hadn't finished it yet. I really wish I had. Thank you so much for your support.

Holocaust hist is full of non-Jews risking their lives to help Jews...Newsome feels the same cannot be said of most straight ppl for their LGBTQ+ neighbors. “I have not found one single instance of a straight person risking, helping, protecting a queer and trans person.”

Just submitted an internal fellowship application. Took longer than I thought because I applied to one center, got rejected and re-applied. Done now and can get into the things I've been ignoring while I wait. And start working on the next one. #PhDLife #AcademicSky

Listening to Sherlock Holmes & Seven Percent Solution. Glad I know that shag is also a noun or I'd have been quite confused: I seldom knew him to take more than wine with his dinner, and this, with the exception of huge amounts of shag, was his only indulgence when involved with a case. #BookSky

@jstor.bsky.social I don't see this, but if there isn't already, can we get a button to shrink the lefthand panel? Then the article'd expand for easier viewing w/o downloading. Most articles have small font. Yes, I've zoomed, but then I can't see most of the page. Thanks! #Accessibility #AcademicSky
