Today is Lancashire County Council’s annual budget meeting. Our small LCC Green Group have put forward costed amendments: to reinstate budgets for young & disabled people’s travel and to fund more climate emergency officers across the county. Let’s see how these go down with the Tory majority.

It took me 50 years to get here, that is the eve of running the National XC championship at Parliament Hill. Can’t beat a Saturday in spikes and a Clayton vest.

Putin is the aggressor. I stand with defending Ukraine. And defending liberal democracy. Even on the left we need to stand with centrists again oligarchy, against authoritarianism and the destabilisation of Europe.
