I’m still so confounded by how this app actually works. Which makes me feel old. I don’t like any of it. But then I remind myself I never signed up for Twitter either and could not even remotely tell you what their interface was like. Which makes me go, “Eh, maybe not worth it.”

I hope Superman’s hair in the new movie is fucking big. Use a blow dryer on that shit, finger-tease it, hit it with some hairspray, let it blow in the god damn wind. I’m so serious. Stop fucking slicking it back with 1950s pomade and a fine toothed comb. Let the man have sexy hair. FUCK.

It would just be shitty to intro the FF to the MCU with the same “return from the past” gimmick already used for Captain America, the original Wasp, and Captain Marvel. Would also feel shitty to retread their origin AND make them some kind of MCU legacy heroes. Incursion-fighting threads the needle!

I think “okay” describes most of Jurgens’ output since the 90s, unfortunately. Him and Brett Breeding drew a peak Superman and he killed it as much as one could with the Ben Reilly Spider-Man.
But his sensibilities have really not evolved much past middle-of-the-road 1990s.

I think most of the time “the comics industry is dying” = “the comic shop industry is dying,” and that is not the apocalypse anyone thinks it is, except for comic shop owners and the type of nerd who keeps them in business.

YouTube recently algorithm’d me to a video of Shi’s Billy Tucci doing a Gutfeld! impression, hosting a panel of 4 overweight bald white men all railing against people who refuse to admit comics is dying. Watched around 5 mins until I left to figure out how to beat the shit out of an algorithm.
