Unsafe in any weather ... but especially snow. This is the bus stop I use on my way to work (No. 27814). Drivers treat Viers Mill Rd like their own personal speedway. Without the snow, they are only a couple of feet from the stop and sidewalk. @natalifg.bsky.social @wmata.com @rideonmct.bsky.social

I baked a vasilopita (Greek New Years Cake). I left out the coin (choking hazard!) and used a bundt instead of a 10" cake pan. I hope it will taste good, and I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous 2026 (with cake). #vasilopita #bakedbyme #happynewyear

@wmata Yellow Line train to Huntington. Doors in car 6165 did not open at L'enfant Plaza. Several passengers v. annoyed and missed their stop.

On the plus side, I won't have a dead tree blocking my view of the Independence Day Fireworks. On the minus side, watching a dead tree fall (taking out a shed and barely missing my fence) was a little stressful.
