As some of you will already know, I have suffered strokes of the cerebellum, been in the hospital, then back home and then had a second more problematic one five days later on September 29 that landed me back in the ambulance, back in the hospital and then in a two-week rehab center.

I’ve been telling friends and colleagues and patients and near strangers about the new book "Sensory Pathways to Healing Trauma" in great part because it is actually fun to read. And of course it is informative and the whole angle into developmental trauma is new. (1/4)

This study is worth knowing about, as is thinking about how we might get better results on emotional competency. It sounds as if the researchers used the Penniston protocols for the experimental group. (1/3)

For seventeen years, I was the Clinical Director of a residential treatment program for severely disturbed adolescents in the western part of Massachusetts. Every child there was out of control and not one of them wanted to be. (1/8)
