Here's a rather complex map that features data from the Energy Institute - Statistical Review of World Energy showing global consumption and production of oil in 2023.

Oil still makes up a1/3 of world's primary energy mix.

A step change:

The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that in 2030, variable renewables account for 2/3 of global renewable electricity generation, rising from less than 45% today.

Solar becomes the number one source of renewable electricity generation.

There are now plans for a 70 GW wind and solar project (!!) in Australia.
