Like anyone moving into a new home after you've lived somewhere else for 14 years, this might take a while.

For the moment, I'll try to post the same things from Twitter, primarily information about the games I'm calling.

Where a 50-48 lead for example is a close game and not, you know, a mandate.
A short note on Dana Jacobson.

Who for a decade was one of my favorites at ESPN.

Then left and just killed it at everything CBS has…Evening News, March Madness, NFL Today and of course, anchoring CBS Saturday to its all-time peak.

And somewhere in there, found the time to marry me...

Are the Celtics eliminated from the NBA Cup?

Mathematically no, but you know, of course they are.

When the quarter-finals are set next Friday, the Celtics will get two extra games to play. Almost certainly a home game on Monday, Dec. 15, and a road game Dec. 11 or 12.

How big is Friday's Nets game for the Celtics?

@ Cleveland (10-6)
Vs. New York (9-5)

The Celtics return to Brooklyn tonight. They were eliminated by the Nets here in the first round of the 2021 pandemic playoffs...they haven’t lost in this building since.

8-0 in the regular season, plus winning Games 3 and 4 here to sweep the Nets in 2022.

Sunday was the 7th time in Celtics history an opposing player made 5 3's and 14 free throws against them in a game.

Jerry Stackhouse in 2000
Steph Curry in 2015
Russell Westbrook in 2016

James Harden (2017, 2018, 2020, 2025) now has the last four.

Of these 25 listed biggest wins since 2000, 18 of them are from the Jaylen/Jayson Era (2017-18 on). That’s 72% of this list of their biggest wins. Does another young duo of NBA players have a list of recent big wins this long on their resumés?

James Harden had 32 today...

...in the second half.

8-15 from the floor
4-6 from 3
12-23 from the line

And one inch from sending a game the Celtics led by 24 in the 3rd, into overtime.

A better illustration of the insane disparity between the Celtics record, and their body of work.

Of the 10 teams currently out of the playoffs and play-in (bottom five in each conference), 9 of them are in the NBA's bottom 10 in Net Rating...

...the Celtics, are in the top 10.

The Celtics chances of advancing in the NBA Cup get a little slimer tonight with the Magic and Pistons both winning.

Boston has the Brooklyn and Detroit at home, but will have to beat them both by a pretty good margin to advance.

How imbalanced have the first 13 games been for the Celtics?

Top 10 offense (10th) in the NBA.
Top 10 defense (7th) in the NBA.
Top 10 overall (8th) in the NBA.

Not a top 10 record right now in the East...

Celtics getting the A-team on NBC tonight, Mike Tirico and Reggie Miller.

Boston is 1-0 in the Tirico/NBC era (he did an RSN cameo last year for the Portland game when both Payton Pritchard and Derrick White went for 40).

He also called the 2008 NBA Finals on ESPN Radio.

Sixers to this point have been better without Embiid, particularly on the defensive end - 1.25 points per possession allowed with him (1.19 is worst in NBA history), 1.12 points per possession allowed without him.

And the Celtics are very familiar with his replacement...

With the win Sunday in Orlando, the Celtics who already hold the NBA's longest current streak without losing 4 (or 5) in a row, are now guaranteed to move up to 4th on this list.

It will be interesting to see how long the Queta on/off numbers hold.

Through 10 games, Celtics’ opponents with…

Queta on the floor: 0.982 points/possession, 38.9% shooting, 32.6% from 3

Queta off the floor: 1.233 points/possession, 49.8% shooting, 41.2% from 3
