Some of you might know I'm trying to learn Spanish. My teacher says that keeping a journal is a good idea. Having to write stuff down helps with memory and recall.

As a lazy alternative I've decided to use Bluesky for this. If you speak Spanish or are learning, feel free to follow @es.seand.me.uk

Amazingly, Zahawi only got round to deleting the below after the press conference announcing his defection to Reform.

Ah ok.

I have worked in Greenland with customers there. I believe they are fine with that description of their location.

I know someone who found "the joy of sex" when clearing out his parents' stuff.

Ahhh. Just get a VPN rather than begging for the leftovers from pensioners' attics.

If it's not the snooker player, I've never heard of them.

We go to their tasting room now and again. We're also part of their wine club and get quarterly deliveries.

It's possible....

I watched a really interesting documentary recently about pigeon fancying, if you are interested in that sort of thing.

BBC Four - Timeshift, Series 16, Flights of Fancy: Pigeons and the British www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b...

Nice book. I should really get round to getting that.

And he bribes them.

I suspect there will be cringing.

Not cool enough for you guys.

All my old school books are up there. Could be interesting reading through them...

It could be a while before they get to that item. These schemes to clear out crap have often failed in the past.

I think if my dad was single, he'd be a hoarder.
January 11, 2026 at 7:46 PM
For nostalgia, today's items were a Super Ser and the Rotastak hamster cage I had as a teenager.

@louiseann.bsky.social @staggerlee42.bsky.social My parents are slowly taking all crap in their roofspace to the dump/charity shops etc.

Soon, one of the items will be a load of old 60s/70s LPs. (Englebert Humperdinck, Jim Reeves, etc)

Do you know anyone that would appreciate that type of thing?

I really hate the idea that this will become an acceptable way to interact with your phone/tablet in public.

They may already have it to access other content online.

I believe the accepted euphemism is "to watch netflix content from other regions".

Doing nasty things?

Wasn't there a case a few years ago where a load of idiots on Twitter got sued for making libelous statements about some celebrity.
January 11, 2026 at 5:35 PM
Keen users would use a VPN to access it. Would it be better to monitor who is using it to do nasty things and keeping an eye on them?

Oh, I haven't seen the posts about Bowie which is why I couldn't understand your post!
