Parking spaces can cost developers up to $50k each. Dropping the mandate to have them at all opens the door to cheaper housing and walkable neighborhoods.

A new study from Scrivner Affiliate @schaveznorgaard.bsky.social ‪& collaborators demonstrates that Denver’s mandatory parking minimums reduce housing production. Using a Housing Policy Simulator, they find that eliminating minimums boosts construction & lowers costs.
