Liverpool got absolutely everything they deserved tonight. A fantastic, gritty, classy performance against one of the best teams in Europe and a reminder that the talk of this team’s demise was massively premature.

Fair to say the experimental lineup didn't work (although we started quite well). I care least about the Carabau Cup of all the competitions but the Villa game is now massive.
