watching @jjindc.bsky.social ICE plane tracker got me doing some math. Based on the current administration's own numbers, the folks we're deporting cost the government $18b a year. ICE just got a budget increase of $40b a year. Math says the wrong people are on these planes.

I made a coffee table out of an ash slab. I used a combination of my CNC router and a TON of hand carving and sanding and put the map of middle earth in it. It's still 100% a usable coffee table, the depth comes from color difference, it's actually only 1/8 of an inch difference from high to low

We saw this in 1967. The moment the Black Panthers started legally open-carrying, the NRA and Reagan—the icons of conservatism—rushed to pass the Mulford Act to ban it. The Second Amendment was suddenly negotiable. A right that is revocable or can be suspended isn't a right at all, it's a leash.
