Tough matchup, awkward draws, and unfortunately had to play away from my computer, so I couldn't reference the opposing decklist easily.
Game 1 was stuck on Giratina only against a full board.
Game 2 was full board vs full board but Lele and Greninja 1/2
All 3 games were very standard, other than a nearly game-losing misclick on my end in game 2, but I still won that game, so it's all good. No notes. Very straightforward.
5-2
Game 1, I Marsed them and got them stuck on a single Sprigatito early and was able to set up. They never had a chance.
Game 2 was more standard. This is the worst non-Oricoro matchup for my deck, so it isn't surprising.
Game 3 saw them have a turn 2 Rare Candy 1/2

Same matchup as last round, but this was a clean 2-0. I think in a tournament setting, it is correct to cut the Komala and just hope to dodge the Oricoro decks. It's a big liability in every other matchup and Komala explicitly won me game 2.
4-1

18/20 the same list. Komala gives game against Oricoro, but makes the deck weaker overall in other matchups. Game 1 looked like a lock of a win but they ran very well and made good decisions to take it.
Game 2, I had a line to win the game that I missed 2/?

Game 1, I led with a sacrificial Darkrai and powered up the one on my bench. That meant that by the time their Carnivine got the kill on my lead, I was ready to sweep the rest of their board.
Game 2, very straightforward game. Turn 2 advantage meant 1/2

Game 1, I got stuck on single Darkrai, they had a turn 1 Kiawe. They just were to ramped to do anything.
Game 2, they Red Carded away my Giant Cape and it was my only out to Steam Artillery.
This was a good matchup for us, but it didn't work out. Tough loss.

Game 1 had some clever maneuvering on my part to spread damage. They got stuck on Froakie for a while and did some interesting choices for energy placement early. Good win.
Game 2, they got an immediate Greninja online and I was stuck on single Darkrai 1/?

All 3 games were the same thing. I was stuck on a single Poke the first 3 games. All of the games, I played to my outs, but double Cyrus makes it likely they'll draw them and it is very strong against "playing to your outs". 4-2 drop. 1/?
Game 1, they got ahead early with Manaphy and 2 Pokes to power up. Misty gave them the win, but I think I might have lost regardless (can't remember at this point). Game 2, they got stuck without basics for a couple turns and I ran through. 1/2
Game 1, I got stuck with 1 Pokemon and was behind the whole game. Game 2, I got stuck on 1 again, was behind again, but played to my outs and won. Game 3, I made several interesting, tough decisions and pulled out a narrow win. The deck has a lot of interesting choices to make.

It was a little interesting having to play around both Red and Giovani and their deck only had one EX Poke (new Pika), so my own red was limited, but as a whole, I don't know how my deck ever loses that matchup. 3-0

The mirror match. They ran more healing and an Iono while I ran an extra tool and 2 Mars. I think Iono is just flat bad for this deck. Since they didn't have Mars, I just kept my extra Pokemon in hand to avoid Sabrina and restrict the effect of his Iono. 1/2

1-2. One of the toughest matchups for our deck. Made a mistake game 3 but it didn't matter. I'm dropping at 2-2. Was fun to play again, but like I said before, it's really nice to get to play in a tournament without having to travel/eat the whole weekend.
Tough 0-2. Similar deck to round 1, but some key differences. Draws didn't cooperate. Overall we're still 2-1 in the tournament, so we're still very live, but a second loss will end our day.
Easy 2-0. Kangaskhan and Mangne-line are both weak to our whole deck. Had a fun line where I drew and played Sudo, retreated my 1-energy Riolu for the Sudo, evolved the Riolu into Lucario, attached to Sudo, and smacked his Darkrai for 70.

Straightforward 2-0 for us. Some questionable decisions, but we also just line up nicely against that deck. Remember that if you go against Hitmonlee, you either want to have 0 benched Pokes or flood your board. Either give them no options or maximize your own.
