Happy International Women's Day! Today we reflect on all the women who made the world what it is. It wasn't until apx. the 1600's in the Western world until women were allowed to perform music on stage. And it wasn't until recently that the work of women have been widely accepted.

Does anyone else seem to be a target for those people that hand out ill-informed Jesus Pamphlets and business cards??? Just me? Okay.

I went to school with FAFSA funding. I never would have made it if it weren't for FAFSA. I have the job I have now BECAUSE of my degree. What Elon Musk wants to do is make sure kids like me (poor kids) never get access to a university education. It's cruel and classist.

Even though Google isn't showcasing it, it is still, in fact, Black History Month. As a musician I am especially in awe of the works of people like Scott Joplin, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Jimi Hendrix, and countless other black Americans who shaped what music is today.

I'm confused. If we're supposed to pump out babies, then why aren't we allowed to research women's health anymore? Probably too much for my tiny, hormonal, dingbat lady brain to handle but idk

Just a reminder this Black History Month that modern music as we know it would not exist if not for black Americans who innovated the way we write, play, hear, and experience music over and over again.

When I moved to the city I got a library card and I must say it's the coolest shit ever. I can rent books, dvds, cds, and I even rented a few Nintendo Switch games. All free, all in good condition. For FREE. It's the best place on earth❤️

One thing before tomorrow:

Use your local libraries.

Get your card.

Borrow books, manga, films, audios, ebooks.

Recommend titles for purchase (usually online).

Attend promoted activities.

Fill out those "How are we doing?" questionnaires.

Tell your kids that libraries are good.

They are.
