Another fatal H5N1 flu infection in a dog, this time in Alberta.
The dog was immunocompromised, which might have contributed to disease severity, but it's similar to a 2023 case in Ontario where an otherwise healthy dog died. Both were linked to goose exposure.

Raw diets and Salmonella? No surprise. Assume contamination with something unless high pressure pasteurized (which reduces but doesn't eliminate risk).
