Writer of Comics - Army of Darkness, Zii and the Troublemakers, Heavy Metal Magazine, Narcopolis: Continuum
Prose - Diablo House
I still can’t believe we made this crazy concept happen and that sites like CBR still remember and shout it out ever so often. Most fun I’ve ever had making comics to this day.

I think the one thing we can agree on is it’s been a rough week for rock n’ roll drummers.

ARTIST WANTED - A filmmaker pal is looking for an artist for a comic pitch he's putting together. I read the script for issue one and it sounds like a dream job for the right artist. All I can tell you from his outline is that it's a six-issue limited series blending YA horror with Aztec mythology.

Some of the most fun I had reading comics in 2024 was Army of Darkness Forever written by @tonyfleecs.bsky.social with art by @justingreenwoodart.bsky.social and published by Dynamite Comics

One of my favorite series I read in 2024 was GRIM by Stephanie Phillips and Flaviano. I’m in for any story that explores the afterlife and this series did that in a really interesting way with its fun world building. Excited to continue reading in 2025.

A year (and a bit) ago, I called in every favor to try and launch a comic I had been dreaming about for years. I felt pretty good about it, having secured press and quotes from some big names. It failed, and I’m still recovering from that failure. I don’t think I have any more favors left to call in

I have been reading way more comics these past few years than prose novels, but finally got around to Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, and the writing was pretty strong. The way it unfolds was captivating, the way a good novel should be, where it sucks you into its world.

I love how in the OG Star Wars trilogy how there’s talking droids and space slugs and men in dog suits, but also just regular-ass swamp rats and garden snakes
