Pelicans call timeout after Pacers’ take 12-point lead on offensive put-back by Jay Huff, who has been productive.

Game-high 18pts on 8/10 shooting. Both teams shooting better than 53%, and the Pacers have won the paint: +10

19asts on 25FGs is excellent

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla kept it simple postgame. He didn't like Siakam's screen at the top of the arc on Derrick White before his game-winner with 6.8s left.

"Illegal screen," he repeated.

That was it.

Rick Carlisle opens his presser by praising Pascal Siakam. "His level of discipline, patient, everything ... really, really big time. So congratulations to him.

"It further makes the case for the All-Star game."

This Pacers-Celtics national TV game is going quick due to the lack of whistles.

Zero called fouls in the 3rd, which lasted 22mins. And just eight foul calls over the first 36mins.

Once up by 13, the Pacers' lead has been cut to two, 79-77, after 3. (They're 7-5 this season with a lead entering the 4th.)

Something's gotta give with the Pacers' defense in the paint. Just no resistance, and Celtics have produced since their timeout mid-3Q
January 13, 2026 at 2:15 AM
After a horrid start to the 3Q, Celtics are now attacking on every possession ... and having success.

7 for 8 in the paint. Just one FG outside the a few feet, a 3-pointer.

Celtics (1/9 FGs) take timeout as it's been all Pacers in the 3rd — 15-2 for a 10-point lead.

Pacers shooting 50%, 11/22 from 3.
January 13, 2026 at 2:03 AM
Celtics closed the half on a 8-2 run for a 56-53 lead on the Pacers at the break.

Pacers shot 59% in the 2Q, including 7 of 9 from range, to gain some ground. Huff has 14pts.

If it felt like that half flew by — it did. Just 8 combined FTAs.
January 13, 2026 at 1:37 AM
It's been balance early for the Pacers, who went back to Huff at starting center. Different to see Jarace Walker take the floor without a headband.

Ben Sheppard's shooting since his return from a calf strain — better than 60% — has been a real positive.
January 13, 2026 at 12:59 AM
Andrew Nembhard, who was questionable (low back soreness), is good to go — and in the starting lineup tonight v Boston.

Celtics are coming off a loss to San Antonio and will be without Jaylen Brown (low back spasms).
