The atmospheric rivers that brought floodwaters to Abbotsford, B.C., in both 2021 and 2025 brought a tremendous amount of moisture to the mountains, and were warm.

CBC spoke with @eoas.ubc.ca PhD candidate Elise Legarth, who is studying the impact of these storms.
