You don't have an infinite amount of free time in your day, and cramming long-form art is a disservice to self. You need to find time to read without speed reading. Slow down. No reason to keep rushing around. You're dying - like me. Smell the roses, read slow, stare at a painting.

Excellence once meant mastering craft. Now we master platforms that can master us — and the arena gets bigger, darker.

The Thief is a fully cast, fully immersive, low-fantasy mystery podcast, in which a drawlatch stumbles her way into the conspiracy surrounding a runaway lady-in-waiting.

It isn't much, but I'm venturing into exclusive audio dramas for folks who help me make my several public shows.

The sword Wærgwengléom is stolen from the kindlinger abbey, where the friar Cynwerd foments treason.

Don't got to r/audiodrama for market sampling. "Would you listen to ...?" posts will get a resounding onslaught of "NO NEVER NYEAH" - and their opinion isn't real.

If you would listen to it, then there are tens of thousands of other people who would too.

The hard part is finding them.

Someone's been grabbing the Overcast Fiction ads pretty consistently the last few weeks. This is the first time I've ever seen it break $300.

Note that $11 CPA is pretty poor. If you're buying ads for a thing, the gold star is about $3 CPA.

Me eating popcorn while I scroll through my favorite copyright law and order show.
Interesting new #ScheduleA appeal: Hallmark Licensing, LLC v. Hongkong Yueqi Tech Ltd., Docket No. 25-02255 (7th Cir.). The defendant seeks expedited review of Judge Jenkins' preliminary injunction in a copyright case involving "a product called 'My Friend Jesus.'”

My general PSA for my AF comrades is: promoting on a social media site isn't a "growth activity", and if you frame your AF-promotion strategy in the terms of engaging in growth activities - it's really spiritually helpful to remember that social marketing isn't one of them.

For me, the appeal of Actual Plays hinges on where they are on their spectrum between Fiction and Sport.

I don't really enjoy too much table banter or out-of-character or mechanics, but I enjoy _a little bit_. So, for me, if the AP is here, I'll give it a shot.

How much more connected to your community - your real community - would you feel if you _only_ watched (or listened to) (or read) (or looked at) your friends' fiction or art?

That's what salons are - the literary ones.
“I don’t have time to watch my friends content but everyone else absolutely should make time to watch mine”

“Some of us might not like APs”

This is how a lot of yall sound right now btw

I've been trying to pinpoint who THE YOUNG make me think of - and I figured it out: they make me think of the kids from Lost Records: Bloom and Rage.
