#25 of 2026: The Marvels - An entertaining film that has more universal (& multiversal) threats but also has fun at the same time. Kamala Khan is really all of us. Imagine if your favorite hero randomly showed up and asked for your help.

#24 of 2026:Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Much like No Way Home this movie had a lot of the right moving parts. Multiversal stakes, drama, comedy, new characters, fan favorites, and a lot of Doctors Strange.

#23 of 2026: Spider-Man: No Way Home - Now this had everything you want from a superhero film. High stakes, high drama, tragedy, triumph, great villains and, unique to this film, 3 Spider-men.

#22 of 2026: Spider-Man: Far From Home - Tom Holland carries the film on his back. To me he is the best Spider-man and that's why I enjoyed the film. The plot however, not as good.

#21 of 2026: The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - Rachel Weisz being replaced by Maria Bello was the first sign this wasn't going to be good. The rest of the movie was the other sign.

#20 of 2026: Dog Day Afternoon - My first time watching this so imagine my surprise when I realize it starts off as a comedy. Tremendous performances from the cast, especially Pacino, Cazale and Sarandon. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

#19 of 2026: Eternals - I thought I'd give this another chance but it really just isn't a good movie. It was long and bleak and lacked the heart of a Marvel movie. I see potential in a sequel but this wasn't it.

#18 of 2026: Avengers: Endgame - While the last hour was everything you could have wanted for the end of the Infinity Saga, the first two hours are kind of slow and messy.

#17 of 2026: H is for Hawk - At its core, the film is pretty standard. A woman suffers loss and buries herself in something, denying she has fallen into a depression. The main difference is, not everyone goes out and buys a hawk.

#16 of 2026: Avengers: Infinity War - You know you're going to have a good time when you get this massive collection of superheroes in one place. And this movie does a great job juggling all of them before making half of them disappear.

#15 of 2026: Strange Days - This completes my 1995 cyberpunk trilogy and it was definitely the best of the bunch. It does run too long and a couple of scenes were totally unnecessary but it overall it was good.

Review of ‘Strange Days’ (1995) ★★★½
This completes my 1995 cyberpunk trilogy and it was definitely the best of the bunch. Though as it takes place right before Y2K you'd think it might not have been as nihilistic as it was? I liked…

#14 of 2026: Hackers - It was like if John Hughes made a cyberpunk film. The basic plot was actually interesting, it was just somewhat muddled with all the "hacking" the kids did during the movie.

#13 of 2026: The Avengers: Age of Ultron - I always thought of it as the middle, forgotten child in between the first team up of these heroes and of course, their final 2-part ending. But it's a pretty good movie.

#12 of 2026: Johnny Mnemonic - This is, objectively, a terrible movie. Their vision of 2021 (from 1995) had a few hits (VR being one) but in the end it was a movie with a potential that it never reached.

#11 of 2026: The Man Who Knew Too Much - Officially the earliest Hitchcock I've seen, you can see the greatness that is to come as a director. An intriguing tale of assassination, kidnapping and old fashioned mystery. Worth a watch.

#9 of 2026: Sound of Falling - The German entry into the Oscar International Feature category follows four generations of a family in a bleak, sad and depressing tale. At 150 minutes it was too much to take for me.

A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical - A paint-by-numbers show that didn't break any new ground and lacked any real heart. Performances were fine, music was good but I couldn't really get into it.

All In - 2nd Broadway show of the year. Revolving cast of 4 that read from a script. Mostly funny stories but the high ticket prices are a bit much for what you get.
