The enshittification of the games industry is part of the bigger enshittification of everything else.
The super rich want an ever higher % of the world's wealth and they're making every sector of society worse in an effort to hoard it.
If you want to fix games you have to get into politics.

AAA is fucked. AAAA is fucked. AA is fucked. Indie is fucked. It's all fucked. I've never seen more across-the-board devastation in this industry in the decade-and-a-half I've been here.
I get really irked when I see people post “indies will save us” or “the laid off devs should go indie” THERE IS NO MONEY publishers are cancelling contracts, angel investors/venture capital don’t want small returns. I think they mean hobbyists with a day job working doubletime & that is a rough ask

If we really think about it, U.S. left wings are European centrists. U.S. Democrats are our Republicans. U.S. Centrists & some Right wings are essentially our fascists. & the Maga cult? They're just nutcases we throw away the key to their mental asylum rooms. Even our fascists generally avoid them.
