Thanks Gardaland, for addicting my children to your brand of ridiculous euro-rock. My algorithm will never recover.

Coming up on the end of a 2 week trip across northern Italy. Lake Como, Gardaland, Verona, Turin. Just amazing stuff, really, that has further piqued my interest in post Empire Italian history.

I tried to draw something without a reference for my daughter. It didn't go well. But I give the internet "Lightning Mouse!"

It is likely that quantum computers will soon be able to break the encryption methods that secure your passwords and anything else kept under digital lock and key. Here's a little demonstration, purely for illustrative purposes, to give a better sense.

That lovely moment when a incredibly elaborate arena-battle comes together for a tense and fun combat.

Things I never expected to happen as a result of losing weight #1 - I just exulted over the deliciousness of a 1.5kg salad.

After spending 10 years in Europe, I am always caught off guard by how unhealthy the US is, or at least the South is.

I'm not a crusader or anything but holy crap it's like everyone over 25 is at least 30-40 lbs overweight.
April 21, 2025 at 12:15 PM
Hoorah! It's fitness update time. I've made it down to 100.6kg or around 220lbs. This means I've lost like 30 lbs. I can also do 70 sit-ups in a single sitting, which is a personal all-time best!
My trip to the US will undoubtedly undo some of my work, but it is necessary.

It would be cool if we could honestly talk about alternative political systems honestly without people being like “it is inherently evil because it’s different” on a high horse acting like public opinion has any measurable impact on policy here and as if that isn’t also produced partially by media

Oh my god I got a new personal best on my sit-ups! 5 sets of 10 with 30sec rests. And I probably could have done more? Man. New, thinner me is pretty remarkable!

The people who had this dog before us were really, really incapable of taking the time to care for him. The poor beast had so much hair on his paws he couldn't feel the ground! Not to mention all the terrible matted fur everywhere.

Might get this dog. Let me know your thoughts on pekingese dogs.
