I wish they hadn't turned off comments, but yeah I agree. Treating people who same something off as being just as racist or misogynist as a MAGAT with no in-between is really hurting the cause. And quite frankly, is bullying.

yeah - its not really a new problem per se. There has always been attempts to use art as a quick crash grab only for people to sift through it and find the good stuff and ignore the rest.

Taking cracks at men getting SA'd while it would be considered the worst to do it about a woman is one thing the "men's rights activists" have right.
I have known many men who were survivors of SA, sometimes from women.

We're not dealing with actual personal relationships we're dealing with cases where there are literally only two candidates. Which is very much a broken system I agree. But your comment just kind of seeks to shame and judge without providing solutions, ironically

I do see a news article on your profile page about it. I am curious though let's assume what you are saying is entirely true. What do you suggest we do with it? Is there a different person in mind who you think would be more fitting to be mayor? I have no undying loyalty to any politician

I would love to see more people like Mamdani, even if I don't necessarily agree with all the policies on paper. He is relentlessly solution-oriented and it is refreshing.

I honestly kind of believe we need to move past trying to convince people to vote in presidential elections because people seem to be pretty dead set on where they are already. I want to see more talk on stuff like rank choice elections and voting in local elections

Now this being said with the current political landscape I can appreciate that somebody trying to do basic work eg the stuff I'm trying to do of getting benches set up at bus stops may get considered radicalism by detractors.

That is an interesting case to make but at the end of the day it's am argument of semantics. If someone is willing to get on the ground and talk about solutions with me they can call themselves whatever they want really. I just find in practice most people who call themselves radicals don't do s***

I would reach out anyway to legal aid societies. Almost anywhere you can find an organization with lawyers that work pro bono. They're often understaffed it might take a while to get a hold of somebody but they truly do care about getting justice

Ugh that s*** is terrible. I had OCD that manifested as hypochondria and I'm so happy I was able to find a doctor who was able to work with me despite that instead of just assuming I'm imagining everything because I might've have done it with some things. Got a lot dealt with

Yeah I pretty much agree although I think you're going to make very little progress trying to tell those people they aren't the left. At the end of the day I find most radicals r narcissists, think they've won before they've started. If we are to make progress we need to just stop listening to them

I think when people use insults like these I think it's good to recognize that they are not actually trying to insult those with disabilities but simply find more creative insults BUT they should also be willing to say maybe I'll try not to use that one again and find others
