It shouldn't get lost that just today, Senate Republicans have voted to close nursing homes, close rural hospitals, and cut food stamp benefits for children and veterans.

The Scottish Sunday Herald TV guide featured this preview of the Trump inauguration.

It’s fucking brilliant.

for those with short attention spans.
Reminder for anyone who sees Trump as a savior: He lobbied to have tiktok banned in the first place, and now he’s positioning himself as the hero by unbanning it. It’s theatrics.

This kind of layout is fun. Though when Sim did it, it went on a bit long. It gets annoying to hold a phone book sideways.
The trip begins for Abby on this double-page spread...

This was my idea, not in the script. How could I change YOUR perception of the reading experience? This was my solution, designing the spread so you'd 'tip' the page accordingly as you read, orchestrating the positioning of balloons...

Hiroko dragged me to the MOA. This is the loooong hall to the bathroom. It was shiny and lit like a 70s sci fi dystopian film. I had to get a picture.

Third coat rack up. And level. Hopefully it takes longer than a week for the dog to yank it off the wall or break all the hooks.

Saw Wicked tonight. 2 tickets for 7 bucks after fees or whatever. It was better then I expected for half a movie. Admittedly as an old theater kid I do have a soft spot for some musicals. Both leads played their roles to a T.

Never bought a fountain pen before. Always just used regular dip nibs. So I’m weirdly excited.😜 Not sure why this set has 2 tips, 2 fill able cartridges but only one barrel.

Drawing the Line
I've been writing about the sad, sad business of fading markers here for awhile, and in the picture above, you can see what happens when people use non-archival tools to draw.

Nobody would have complained if the iPad ad of them squishing all the art stuff into the device was in a chibi anime style. The industrial theme was the thing that destroyed the tone.

Normally we should be deep in the frozen part of the year, hiding inside from the hellscape of -30 degree windchills. But I look outside my window today and there isn't any snow in sight. The wind is blowing the leaves around my back yard and it's raining. You'd think it was Fall. Crazy.
