After nearly two decades of decline, bookstores are experiencing a comeback as readers return to physical books in record numbers.

These are the least desirable books in the world. If you handle them, please wash your hands thoroughly or wear gloves. We love the smell of books as much as you but do not, we repeat, do not whiff these. We appreciate the gesture and love to see non-moldy books anytime!

Many thanks to volunteer Denise Kovacik for spotting the leaks, Public Works Director Kevin McGowan for his quick response, and Public Works Supervisor Oscar Lucario and his team for taking care of business. Library staff is evaluating the damage to fifty-one books.

Check them out! We just got a new batch of local interest LPs. These would include musicians from Sausalito, songs about Sausalito, and albums recorded in Sausalito. The collection was made possible by a grant from Friends of Sausalito Library.

The government shutdown has left many of our neighbors struggling to put food on the table. We’ve partnered with the SF-Marin Food Bank to collect donations of nonperishable food. Look for the donation bin inside the library and drop off what you can. Every contribution helps!
