Scaradise 2025 is Ayelet's first fancon since the S1 Daredevil press at NY Comic Con in 2014... 11 years ago.
I'm glad her expanded role in DDBA (compared to the earlier seasons) allowed her to speak more depth into the character of Vanessa at events like these. 🥹

A fun fact is that Steven DeKnight (showrunner for DD S1 on Netflix) picked up the show because of this creative change in the Vanessa and Wilson relationship. When a show decides to make a mighty yet vulnerable villain and a compelling female character, you know you struck gold!
Vanessa and Wilson's relationship continues to be one of the most interesting parts of this adaptation. She usually wants nothing to do with his criminal empire yet here she seems more pissed that he doesn't.

This entire thread has been my back and forth with this whole Vanessa recast situation.
It's baffling to me that they did the whole soft reboot in the first place, but holy shit credits to Dario and Ayelet for actually bringing VANESSA FISK, QUEENPIN to our screens in aces and spades.

Was thinking about how Vanessa was almost gonna be recast with Sandrine Holt in Daredevil: Born Again because man, that would've been a fumble. No offense to Sandrine, I don't know much about her and am sure she would've been fine. But Ayelet Zurer KILLED it with her comeback.
