Bringing out some end o’ year #LibrarianFashion.
Nice!
Inventory being done in my new favourite over-the-top-awesome crochet cardigan, wild blue-framed glasses, diagonal blue stripes tie, blue shirt w/ white outline leaf patterns and meandering dotted-lines.

Sartorial co-host, Chris, levelling-up the #cardigan #LibrarianFashion game…woo-hoo!

Got some favourite cardigans to share?
Drop them in the comments.
Me, in my #LibrarianFashion glory today, wearing my brand new crocheted #cardigan finished yesterday by my amazing wife. I’m a lucky man!

A happy listener testimonial!
Another great podcast episode covering two favorite books and of course impressive #kidlit #librarianfashion
💕

These two don’t seem capable of creating a single episode that’s less than delightful 📚✍🏽

When I found out about @sartoriallibrary.bsky.social's #LibraryFashion tag, of course the first person I thought of was Sylvie Facon, who turns books into dresses:

Symbiosis, friends.

Uplift the authors and uplift the illustrators. Equally. It takes both to make picture book magic.

In our podcast discussions we wax poetic about the writer’s text, the illustrator’s artwork and the beautiful interplay between the two mutually enhancing elements.

Listen in.
Kudos to picture book authors like @fuse8.bsky.social who boost illustrators like this!

Picture book authors, get thee an illustrator so talented that they can adapt an ostrich hand puppet into a secretary bird. The co-star of POP! GOES THE NURSERY RHYME, thanks to the craftsmanship of one @atsurumi.bsky.social. Note how they meticulously painted the eyeballs.

THANK YOU, ANDREA!!!

Michael Rosen’s Sad Book

It was great for us to see this book we loved and discussed in Episode 2 be named by Kirkus as one of the best of the century (so far).

Give us a listen to see why we appreciate this bereavement book so much.

Want to share how you zhuzh up something in your #LibrarianFashion repertoire?

See co-host, Chris’s examples below…
I sure love a shirt that, when the cuffs are zhuzhed, they roll up to reveal a different pattern from the body and sleeves generally.

Also, I’m a big fan of Van Wijk tie knots and tie bars too.

Can’t go wrong with a cardigan either.
