It's hard to reconcile DfE's assertion in their evidence to STRB that a 2.8% pay award is 'appropriate' with the recent @thenfer.bsky.social modelling on what is needed to meet the commitment to recruit 6,500 new teachers. Increased pay has to form part of that package.
