A busy couple of days in the Physics department Swansea University. #FromSwanseaToTheStars yesterday with some stellar spectroscopy and then Particle physics masterclass today with our #PhysicsWorkExp students and students from as far as London! Was a pleasure to see all the enthusiasm!

Today we say goodbye to ESA’s Milky Way-mapper Gaia! The Gaia spacecraft has completed its sky-scanning and will be switched off this morning.

My 8 year old was cross with me the other day and trying to find the worst insult to say to me. He told me I was Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Boris Johnson all in one person. Ouch 😭
