The hate Mamdani is getting is not for his policy positions. Say free buses are impractical, sure. Question his beliefs on anti-Semitism, totally fair. Associate him with criminals from other countries based on his ethnicity? That's getting a bit racist.

This is exactly why the government shouldn't get involved in student activism. They can't tell the difference between a peacenik like Mahdawi and actual terrorist supporters. What a travesty of justice.

This isn't helpful. Plenty of Dems in red states - as well as people who voted for Trump because they were lied to. We need their support - and they need ours.

From where I sit it seems like taking and killing civilian hostages is their cause, what they work towards and celebrate. What have they done to improve the lives of Palestinians?
